18th Century House, Berkshire

This Grade II-listed house, first mentioned in an estate survey of 1791, began life not long before this date as a small two-unit cottage with a rear stair turret. The building has seen successive additions, including a 19th century kitchen extension and further 20th and 21st century additions to the side and rear.

We were instructed to provide advice on a suitable design to remodel the rear part of the house, in particular the 19th and 20th century elements, in order to improve internal circulation. Following this, we provided a thorough Heritage Statement outlining the development of the building and its context, as well as evaluating the impact of the proposed works.
