Old Town Hall, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
This imposing Grade II-listed building is a landmark in the historic Old Town of Hemel Hempstead. Replacing the 16th century Market Hall, the building was commenced in 1852 to designs by George Low and extended in 1861 and 1868.
The old corn exchange survives as does the Council Chamber, which is currently in use as a popular theatre. The project comprised a Heritage Impact Assessment for internal alterations to improve facilities and accessibility.
